Support should assist without automatically taking over
A participant may need direct help with one part of a routine and only prompting with another. Where appropriate, workers can leave time for the participant to choose, practise and complete suitable parts themselves. This keeps ability visible and can turn normal household routines into practical opportunities to build confidence.
